An exceptional example of vintage Australian art pottery, this 1930s ceramic "ball" flower frog was produced by McHugh Pottery in Launceston, Tasmania.

The piece features a highly desirable and vibrant blue and yellow drip glaze colorway, which is far scarcer than the standard green or brown glazes of the era. The base is clearly incised with the authentic autographed signature: H. McHugh / Tasmania / 32.

Preserved in excellent vintage condition with a fine, natural age-crazing to the glaze and no structural chips or cracks. A choice addition for the discerning collector of premium commercial Australian pottery.
