The Retro 51 Tornado Vintage Metalsmith Douglass is a tribute to Frederick Douglass, an American social reformer, abolitionist and statesman. Born a slave, he escaped at 20 years old and became a national leader of the abolitionist movement in Massachusetts and New York. He was most famous for his oratory and incisive anti-slavery writings. The portrait of Douglass can be found on the finial and the storage tube. The pen is fitted with a smooth flowing rollerball refill that is retracted with its patented knurl twist-top.
