Description
This kit has been developed by PROtect tapes and optimized by Ferdando “Happy” Alegre and contains a large selection of UHMWPE tapes with acrylic adhesive, skived PTFE tapes with  high temperature silicon adhesive and PTFE disks. Both polymers have highest resistance to abrasion and extremely low friction. The kit contains the following 29 items to improve the boat  performance and minimize the risk of equipment damages and avoid possible failure:
 
  • 5 PTFE coins (1, 1.5 and    2mm) for the mast step to move up the mast to the limit (1.0-­‐7.5mm) Tapes are die cut, with liner and easy to apply on:
    • the mast, to reduce to the minimum the friction between the mast and mast step
    • the daggerboard slot, top and bottom, to minimize the gap down to 14mm
    • the boom, to reduce the friction outhaul
    • the sprit and mast, to reduce the friction to the minimum
    • the mast, to reduce the friction with the sprit block
    • the top of the daggerboard slot to avoid damages to the case
    • the bow, stern corners and stern side of the rudder to protect them from impact
Additionally, 6 rubber daggerboard stops and one roll of rigging tape for all purposes.
