Description
Milbemax Dog 5-25 kg (11-55 lbs.) Two Tablet Pack is not your everyday milquetoast pet medication. This all in one worm preventative is a wide-ranging intestinal dewormer used in the treatment of dogs to protect against:
  • Roundworm
  • Hookworm
  • Tapeworm
The active ingredient in Milbemax, Praziquantel, causes tapeworms to muscle spasm, after which they are assaulted and destroyed by enzymes. Plus, if you treat your dog every month, Milbemax is also effective in the prevention of Heartworm. Milbemax for dogs is a tiny, tasty beef flavored treat in tablet form that is so delicious your hound will eat it right out of your hand.

Does Milbemax wormer treat lung worms?

This product treats lungworm. It has to be fed to your dog whereas Advocate is a spot-on treatment. Both products are very effective.

i have 9 dogs can i combine nexgard chewables with milbemax?are you suggest something else?thanks

Nexgard covers flea and tick and Milbemax covers all intestinal worms except Heartworm. If you live low risk heartworm area, this is a very good combination. If you don't want to take a risk at all, we recommend Nexgard + Heartgard. Or you can add a valuheart top of Nexgard / Milbemax combination

My dog will be a year old next month. She is currently on worm shield for heartworm prevention. She has a tapeworm, she weighs 23 lbs, would your medication interfer or interact negatively with the worm shield?

The active ingredient in Wormshield is Ivermectin, which is also found in Heartgard, which we sell (http://goo.gl/rYcoQ7), although Ivermectin does not control Tapeworm. Milbemax contains Praziquantel, which causes tapeworms to muscle spasm and are then digested. So the ingredients differ, as does the process, however we suggest asking your vet if your dog will be ok with these two active ingredients together. It is important that your dog is assessed before administering a range of ingredients together.

Hello, My lab was diagnostic with roundworm and the vet gave her Trifexis. She was vomiting several times tha day she had the tablet. I would like to switch to Milbemax but she weight 78 lbs. Will one dose be affective on a dog over %%lbs or should I increase the dose? Thank you in advance for your help, Sparrow's mom

Hi! Each tablet cures up to 55 lbs, and the minimum recommended dose would be 2 tablets/month.
