Dacron Strings
Strings for Recurve bows. Please not recurve strings are not the length of the string but the length of the bow. If you have a 68" bow you need a 68" string. The string for a 68" bow will actually measure roughly 64 1/2".

Description

Selecting the correct number of strands for a bowstring is a little bit of trial and error.  The more strands the slower but more stable.

As a guide

<20#     = 10,12 strand

<30#     = 12,14 strand

<40      = 16,18 strand

>40#     = 18,20 strand

Hi I'm trying to put together a target recurve about 32 inch draw length, 40lb weight, and already have a junxing f166 riser. Do these parts fit and make sense? Kinetic Honoric UD Carbon limbs IFL 70" 70" 18 strand dakron string And what arrows would fit this?

Limbs advertised as 70" will be that on a 25" riser. So those limbs on a F166 riser will be 66" total length. Also the overall legnth will change the advertised draw weight. As will the draw length will pull 8-10# more than advertised at 32"

Can I walk around to your shed and pick up this item?

Yes, we are a retail store aswell.

Hi, Do you have any strings for a white feather wings horse bow 50". 16 strands. And can we get strings for a 49" horse bow. Many thanks Darrell Bossley Ph: 02 44781000

We currently only have stock of strings for 52" horse bows like the Sada You can always order a custom string that we can make up to your specs

Hi, I've got a Samick SKB 'horsebow' that's 50" long. Just wondering if you have any suitable strings as I'd like to have a spare or two? Thanks, Darren Lay, Woodside,VIC 3874

yes we have strings suitable, you would need a 50 AMO string the string itself will not be 50 inches it will be suitable for a 50 inch bow the actual length of a 50 AMO the string will be 46.5 inches

I have purchased a 14 strand recurve string and wonder how do I know a pre made arrow (fivics ninja) supplied nock will be suitable? I guess this is the problem with buying off the shelf. It would only suck to receive the arrows only to find out I can’t shoot the bow until I buy correctly fitting nocks. And info in this area would be great.

The fivics ninjas have a small grove nock and will fit a 12 strand, 14 strand and 16 strand string

How much does riser length matter? What would the difference in string selection be between 64" limbs and 66" limbs both on a 21" riser?

It is the overall length of the bow. The overall length of the bow depends on the size of the riser and size of the limbs.

hi, i have a 25" sf premium riser with 66" limb. me i know what is the size of string i should order?

66" string

If i buy bow 68 recurve strings =68 Strands = 12 its correct? please suggest

yes

Regarding replacement string for a modern Bear Grizzly 60# Will the 18 strand string be served ends and centre and suitable for the above bow ?

yes

Do you have these strings in black like picture, all the strings ive ordered are white and blue and look terrible on black predator

It depends on the string. The white and blue are win and win which indicate it is a Dacron string. We stock mainly Win and Win. We also stock cartel which are white/ black. Sorry you can't select a colour. It just depends what we have in at the time.

My 55# AMO-58 Grizzly - from what I can tell online it would be the AMO-58 minus 4 = 54" string. Is that correct?

No for a 58" bow you order a 58" string. The actual size of the string will be a bit over 54".

Hi, I need a 55 inch bowstring for my friend, but I don't know the bow length. Which bow length should I choose to get a 55 inch string?

Strings are all ordered on Bow length. a 60" bow would have about a 56" actual string. So if you want 55" I think the closest you will get will be 58" which will be 54".

For a 60" recurve, would a 54 string be suitable?

A 60" recurve you buy a 60" string.

I have a 52" recurve bow. Should I order a 48" string?

52" string for a 52" bow

Does the string come with a nock point?

No
