KFR23-IWX1c Panasonic powered air conditioner with Wifi built in.

These units are supplied with four meters of easy install flexible pipework allowing for easy installation in under one hour.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY 'A' rating: these units are ECA compliant and qualify for the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme.

Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs) enable a business to claim 100% first-year capital allowances on their spending on qualifying plant and machinery.

A split air conditioner has an internal and an external unit.
 
The internal unit is fitted to a wall in the room to be heated and cooled, the external unit is positioned outside the building.
 
The two units are connected using copper pipe.

Hi Steve, can the inside A/C unit be fitted anywhere or does it have to be back to back with the outside fan unit ?

Hi, the inside unit can go anywhere as long as it is at a high level on the wall. It doesn't make a difference where it is in relation to the outdoor unit. I hope this answers your question.




What size of plastic trunking would I need for the insulated pipework that runs to the external fan unit?

Re: KFR-231W/X1c easy install wall mounted split air con unit. I am an electrical contractor. would I need any special tools or equipment or knowledge to install this system ie gas or pipe bending equipment?

Hi officially you do require a refrigerant engineer to commission this system. It comes with an easy install kit so you do not require any special tools to install it. The outdoor unit is already pre-charged with refrigerant for up to seven meters of pipe run. Thanks

Hi Phil. These units are in stock and do not require any specialist tools to install and come with a full set of instructions. None of the split systems are classified as DIY install any more: we have to advise you to employ a refrigerant engineer to commission the system. Thanks




hi there we are having a conservatory built with the dimentions of 17' x 12' could you tell us which unit would be man enough to cool this room we are south west facing in the garden, if this makes any difference ie not exposed to sunlight all day long, only quarter of the day look forward to hearing from you regards Tina and Steve King

Hi your conservatory is just over 20 square meters and even though you only have the sun for 25% of the day we would still recommend an 18,000btu cooling capacity. The best selling system at this size is the Eco Air ECO1811S at £539. A 12,000btu system might struggle on the rare very hot sunny days that we have but around 95% of the time it will most likely be more than ample so if you can accept that point then the ECO1211S at £379 is the most popular system. the KFR23 really is going to be too small as it is only a 9,000btu system.
