Description

Part# FDC-INT-SktCap - Ford Cleveland Inlet Manifold MirrorTopz Bolt Kit. This bolt kit will not rust up like chrome bolts can. This socket cap head bolt kit is from our standard range of polished 316 stainless steel bolts polished to our KustomBitz standard finish. These are the bolts that have the Allen Key hex type slot in a round headed bolt with a gnarled outer edge. This custom inlet manifold bolt kit will suit Ford 302, 351 Cleveland V8 engines. This bolt kit comes complete with 12 x manifold bolts, washers and spring washers, so you get everything you need to do a typical cleveland intake manifold. Will suit most Ford Cleveland standard production cast iron manifolds, dual plane and single plane after market Aluminium [Aluminum for our USA friends] manifolds.

Installation - with inlet manifolds on V8s we recommend that you install your polished stainless bolts after your engine has been started and you have run it up to full temperature. So use your standard engine bolts at first to hold the correct torque tension on the inlet manifold gaskets until they are stuck for good on the first few runs. Then install your stainless steel bolts one by one and torque them to half of the standard torque setting so you do not snap them off.  All Kustom Bits bolts we supply are an A4-70 grade stainless bolt which is slightly less in tensile strength than the standard grade 5 engine bolts for your inlet manifold.  We make this recommendation so that your intake manifold gaskets seal and settle properly to ensure you have no problems.  Those of you who run turbochargers or superchargers you should not run stainless bolts on an engine with high inlet manifold pressures and high tension loads on the blower snout from the belt and pulley drive, we recommend you use the ARP high tensile strength race engine black bolts only.
